Synopsis

Vaanmathi (Swathi) is the daughter of Padmavathi (Vadivukkarasi) who is a rich and powerful lady. Padmavathi is separated from her husband and single-handedly raised her daughter.

Vaanmathi falls in love with Krishna (Ajit Kumar), a young lad from a middle class family. This leads to a rift between mother and daughter. Does Padmavathi succeed in convincing her daughter to forget about her first love or does Vaanmathi win her mother over?
