Synopsis

Mahadev (Shreyas Talpade) makes a living writing letters for the illiterate people of his village. Through his letter writing, we learn of Mahadev's childhood love (Amrita Rao) trying to connect with her husband in Mumbai (Kunal Kapoor), as well as a mother (Ila Arun) trying to get her daughter Vindhya (Divya Dutta) married. Mahadev also writes letters for a landlord whose wife is running for local government office, a eunuch also running for office, and his lovesick friend Ram Kumar. All is not as it seems though, as Mahadev is not writing what you suspect.
